Job Title: Working Foreman / Crew Leader – Ceramic Tile Installation

Pay Range: $25–$32 per hour (based on experience)
Location: Rochester, New York (with daily travel to customer sites) .  Work van provided. 

Position Overview

TES Staffing is seeking an experienced Ceramic Tile Installer & Crew Leader to lead tile installation crews on commercial projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, jobsite leadership, and mentoring others.

The Working Foreman will install tile while overseeing crew performance, jobsite standards, and project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise tile installation crews on active job sites

• Install ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile with precision and efficiency

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans

• Prepare surfaces, including floor leveling and waterproofing when required

• Measure, cut, and lay tile to ensure clean, accurate, and consistent installation

• Mix, apply, and clean grout; ensure proper curing and finish work

• Coordinate daily tasks with project managers to meet schedules and deadlines

• Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards

• Train, mentor, and support junior installers and apprentices

• Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and management

Requirements

• Proven experience as a ceramic tile installer

• Previous experience leading crews or working as a foreman preferred

• Strong knowledge of tile installation methods, materials, and tools

• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and solution-focused

• Valid driving record required
