We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Building Maintenance / Facilities Technician to take full ownership of facility maintenance at a 45,000 sq. ft. cannabis cultivation site.
This is an older building that was moved into quickly and still needs ongoing repairs, upgrades, and constant attention. We need someone who is a true jack-of-all-trades — someone who can diagnose problems, fix most issues themselves, and keep the building running without relying on outside contractors unless absolutely necessary.
Over the next few months, the company will also be building out a retail space, and this person will be involved in supporting that project as well.
You’ll be the go-to person onsite for anything building-related, including:
General building repairs and upkeep (daily, weekly, as-needed)
Plumbing repairs and troubleshooting (leaks, clogs, fixtures, etc.)
Electrical work (basic troubleshooting, outlets, lighting, switches, breakers, etc.)
HVAC monitoring and basic maintenance (filters, thermostats, airflow issues, coordination of major repairs)
Carpentry, drywall, painting, patching, flooring repairs
Door hardware, locks, hinges, roll-up doors, gates, and general security-related fixes
Facility cleaning/maintenance needs related to the building structure and equipment
Preventative maintenance to avoid downtime and expensive repairs
Maintaining tools, parts, and supplies inventory
Supporting retail buildout projects and facility improvements
Working with contractors only when major licensed work is required
This role is for someone who:
Can fix most things without calling someone else
Has experience maintaining an older building or industrial facility
Is organized enough to stay ahead of problems before they become expensive
Takes pride in being the person who keeps everything running
Is dependable, self-motivated, and doesn’t need constant supervision
5+ years of hands-on building maintenance, facilities, or property maintenance experience
Strong skills in plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, drywall/painting, and general repairs
Experience working in warehouses, industrial buildings, grow sites, manufacturing, or large facilities is a plus
Must be comfortable working independently and making decisions on the fly
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle physical work daily
Valid driver’s license required
HVAC knowledge/certification
Electrical license or formal trade training
Experience in regulated facilities (cultivation, food production, manufacturing, etc.)
This is a cannabis cultivation environment inside a large facility. Expect to be on your feet, moving around the building, using tools, climbing ladders, and responding to maintenance needs throughout the day.
This position is critical. You’ll be responsible for keeping a large facility operational and preventing downtime. The right person will have a lot of independence and will be trusted to run the building like it’s their own.
