TES Staffing is proud to partner with a mission-driven independent school in Rochester that joyfully celebrates children with special healthcare needs. We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Special Education Preschool Teachers to join their team.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Employment Type: Direct Hire
- Salary: $54,000 – $70,000
- Higher compensation considered for candidates with experience working with medically fragile students and strong classroom experience

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized developmental services and inclusive educational programming
- Provide family support services
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including:
- Pediatric nurses
- Early Intervention therapists
- Preschool therapists
- Implement high-quality programming for children in pediatric day-respite services
- Work within a co-teaching model
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
- Supervise and support teacher aides (TAs) and classroom volunteers
- Develop and implement programs aligned with each child’s individual goals
- Foster an environment rooted in inclusion, empowerment, and compassion

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree and New York State Special Education certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years classroom management experience preferred
- Experience working with children from birth to school-age
- Ability to:
- Develop inclusive, engaging learning activities
- Create lesson plans for diverse learning and communication styles
- Minimum of:
- 12 credits in early childhood education, special education, or related field

- 2 years of equivalent experience teaching or supervising children with developmental or healthcare needs
