The Role (What You’ll Actually Be Doing)
We’re looking for a hands-on Shop Operations Manager who loves keeping things moving, organized, and flowing — without letting details fall through the cracks.
You’ll own the day-to-day rhythm of our shop and fulfillment operations: making sure products move cleanly from done → packed → shipped → happy customers. You’ll lead a small team, jump in where needed, and work closely with our R&D & Production Manager to keep everything aligned.
If you enjoy structured chaos, physical products, and being the person who makes sure nothing gets missed — this role is for you.
Run daily pick / pack / ship operations
Lead and support the fulfillment team (including training & development)
Make sure orders go out accurately and on time
Create and manage Amazon FBA shipments
Keep staging areas clean, organized, and easy to understand at a glance
Coordinate with R&D & Production to move products from “made” to “ready to ship”
Handle packaging, labeling, QA checks, and final prep
Jump in hands-on when needed (assembly, light production, 3D printing support, etc.)
Create, track, and manage purchase orders
Coordinate with vendors and handle receiving
Flag large or strategic purchases for leadership approval before release
Oversee day-to-day customer service (or jump in directly when needed)
Spot recurring issues and surface them with clear recommendations
Know when to solve, escalate, or improve the system
Define and enforce clear “ready to ship” standards
Identify inefficiencies and propose practical, real-world fixes
Catch problems early and help prevent repeat issues
Ensure clean handoffs between production, fulfillment, vendors, and customers
You should have:
Experience managing fulfillment, warehouse, or operations workflows
Comfort leading and developing a small team
A hands-on mindset — you’re not afraid to jump in
Strong organization and follow-through
Basic comfort with spreadsheets and order systems
Experience working with some kind of ERP, inventory management, or shipping software
Solid working knowledge of Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, especially Sheets/Excel
You don’t need to be a power user, but you should be comfortable:
Updating and maintaining trackers
Filtering and sorting data
Using basic formulas
Bonus points if you have:
Amazon FBA experience
Light manufacturing experience
Process improvement experience
Familiarity with skateboarding, fingerboarding, or niche product brands
Orders ship on time, every time
The team always knows what’s ready to ship
Inventory and purchasing are proactive, not reactive
Amazon FBA stays stocked without last-minute scrambles
Customer issues are handled smoothly without constant escalation
