Job Title: Cafeteria and Lunch Room Assistant 
Pay: $16.50/hour
Term of Employment: Part Time Hours; 2024-2025 School Year
Location: Greece Central School District (various locations) 

Job Description:
Jump start your career in the education field by joining the Greece Central School District team in their cafeteria! This is an entry-level role that will float between various Greece Central schools, and would include serving and assisting students, as well as preparing the kitchen for the next days service.

This position is a contract to potential hire, with excellent benefits offered through the school district once brought on permanently, including health insurance, NYS retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and more!
 

Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience (preferably 1yr+).
• Must obtain, purchase, and pass background check through NYSED TEACH system. This is completed through a thorough fingerprinting process.
• Willingness to float to different Greece Central Schools as needed; reliable transportation is necessary.
• Able to perform physical job duties that include walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to effectively and professionally interact with students, faculty, and staff.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assist with food preparation such as sandwiches, cold plates, etc.
• Serve students.
• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and equipment.
• Operate kitchen appliances.
• Set up condiments and supplies.
• Utilize knife skills.
• Operate POS if needed.
• Various kitchen duties as needed.
