TES Staffing has partnered with a trusted leader in commercial flooring based in Rochester, NY, and we are seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to oversee multiple active job sites, including a flagship hospital project and several smaller commercial builds. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the field, has exceptional organizational skills, and can confidently manage the moving parts of multiple projects at once.

You’ll be responsible for project planning, scheduling, communication with clients and contractors, and on-site quality assurance. While direct flooring experience is a plus, it’s not required—what is required is a solid background in commercial construction and a sharp understanding of how to keep projects on time and on budget. Experience working with or for general contractors is highly preferred. Residential-only backgrounds need not apply.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Work-Life Balance: Monday through Friday schedule — no weekends required

• Competitive Pay: Starting at $65,000+, based on experience and qualifications

• Onboarding Support: 90-day ramp-up period with guidance and support to set you up for success

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial flooring installations from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met

• Visit job sites regularly, including a high-profile hospital project and various commercial builds throughout the region

• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and internal crews

• Maintain organized project documentation, schedules, and communication logs

• Proactively identify and troubleshoot project issues

• Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams to provide updates and manage expectations

• Oversee material deliveries, labor scheduling, and site logistics

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in commercial construction project management (minimum 3 years)

• Strong organizational and time management skills—you'll be juggling several projects at once

• Excellent communication skills, both in the field and with internal stakeholders

• Experience working with general contractors or as one yourself is a big plus

• Familiarity with construction documents, drawings, and specs

• Comfortable navigating dynamic, fast-paced job sites

• Flooring experience is a bonus, but not required

• Must be local to the Rochester area or willing to relocate
