Location: Rochester- Gates/West Side
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30a-3:00p
Job Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Position (School Year Only)
Salary Range: Starting at $45k, Depending on Experience

Education & Certification Requirements:

• New York State License as a Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
• Current certification in CPR/AED – Required

Primary Responsibility:

The Registered Nurse (RN) serves as the medical liaison to classrooms and provides oversight to the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) staff to ensure high-quality student health services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise LPN staff to ensure quality nursing care in the school setting.
2. Assist with health education for students, promoting wellness and safety.
3. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student health needs.
4. Develop Individual Health Care Plans (IHCPs) with specific goals, objectives, and interventions for students with special health needs or chronic health conditions.
5. Act as a liaison between the medical community, school staff, and families regarding student health concerns.
6. Support mandated school health programs, including immunization and screening initiatives.
7. Assess in-school and community healthcare resources to support student wellness.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Special Education Supervisor.
