Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver bagged lunches and breakfast to students in their classroom.
- Engage with students of all age groups and ability levels.
- Communicate with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner, utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Follow directions from Cafe Supervisor(s) or School Admin staff to ensure the safety, health, and supervision of students.
- Perform light duty cleaning tasks such as sweeping floors, emptying trash bins, and wiping down lunch tables.
- Ability to perform all job duties without restrictions, including frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to approximately 25 pounds.
- Professional experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Proficient in vocal English communication; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and mature judgment are essential for daily interactions with teachers, students, administration, and other personnel.
- Must complete a background check through NYSED in order to work in schools.
