Cyber Security Analyst - Penetration Testing/ Vulnerability Assessment

Position Description:

A Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for providing various cybersecurity consulting services for reseller partners / to end clients. Consulting services include, but are limited to, Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessments.

Essence of the Position:
The purpose, the meaning, the essence of the Cybersecurity Analyst role has two distinct attributes. The first is  is to educate end clients about their unique risks and the second is to  help reseller partners understand how to mitigate those risks.
Cybersecurity remains an abstract concept to most of our clients and reseller partners. The Cybersecurity Analyst has a parental like responsibility to explain technical information to a non-technical audience and provide clear and simple instructions to improve.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or similar field
  • Minimum one or more information security certification(s)
  • Minimum one or more information technology certification(s)
  • Excellent understanding of applications, information systems, networking protocols and network topologies
  • Excellent understanding of scripting tools, scanning tools and penetration testing tools
  • Excellent understanding of penetration testing frameworks such as PTES and OWASP.
  • Excellent understanding of the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in an information technology technical support role
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in an information security analyst role for a service organization
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a project management / planning role
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements for various reseller partners
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to focus on details and produce accurate deliverables for resellers / clients
  • Possess a Do-Whatever-It-Takes attitude
  • Possess a passion for learning and commitment to professional development
  • Possess a desire to win
Responsibilities:
  • Provide penetration testing and vulnerability assessment services for reseller partners / to end clients as assigned.
  • Create documentation and engagement deliverables 
  • Manage assigned workload; establish daily priorities and respond to client requests
Desired Results
  • Maintain 77% or greater billable time
  • Create raving fans amongst reseller partners and end clients
  • Deliver professional service engagements on time, and at or under budget
