Warehouse And Delivery Assistant

Local Fortune 500 company seeks talent to add to their team.  Their delivery teams play a pivotal role in their vision to “Exceed Client Expectations”  As a delivery team associate you will be responsible for delivering equipment to our customer’s offices and, therefore, have direct customer contact. Delivery teams are the vital link in the total sales experience for the customers. It takes a special individual to WOW the client by delivering not only their equipment, but a great experience.
  • Drivers are responsible for the delivery, pick-up and installation of office equipment to clients locally and the near-by regional cities.
  • Responsible for assembling customer orders, loading the trucks, securing the equipment for travel, and delivering products to designated delivery sites.
  • As a delivery driver, this position will be responsible for daily delivery and operating a 24 foot long and 12 foot high box truck.
  • Responsible to off-load office equipment at each commercial client stop, deliver, and place products to the customer’s specifications. 
  • Position requires a strong focus on customer service, accuracy of client specifications, and proper internal communications with team members.
 
  • Limited scope of authority within pre-established specific policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensures all paperwork is signed and properly processed.
  • Contacts the service department if technician is needed.
  • Provide timely same day deliveries as assigned. Manage to daily schedule.
  • Communicate – any anticipated delivery schedule  challenges or changes.
  • Participates in training DOT/ safety/ equipment.
  • Guides, shares knowledge, and trains other drivers as requested.
  • Utilizes basic computer skills including, navigate the internet, locate directions /read maps, email functions, etc.
  • Limited scope of authority within pre-established specific policies, procedures and guidelines.
  •  Supervise the work of the delivery helper on site.
  • Ability to read maps, follow specific delivery directions and instructions.
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
  • Resolve customer issues as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain outstanding working relationship with customers to ensure satisfaction
