School Kitchen Aide

Schedule: Daily sub/on call. This position is AM only (no nights or weekends!) Set schedules are offered based on availability.
Pay: $17.00/hr

Qualifications:
- Previous food service experience preferred, but not required
- Must obtain, purchase, and pass background check through NYSED.
- Ability to float to different schools as needed
- Comfortable performing physical job duties, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to confidently follow written and oral instructions
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Must effectively and professionally interact with students, faculty, and staff
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide cafeteria coverage throughout the district
- Prepare a variety of foods, including sandwiches, cold plates, and more
- Wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Safely operate kitchen appliances and equipment
- Serve meals to students with a friendly and positive attitude
- Set up condiments, supplies, and serving areas
- Utilize basic knife skills for food preparation
- Operate POS systems as needed
- Jump in and assist with various kitchen duties to keep operations running smoothly
