Our client is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Production Assistant to support hands-on, small-batch product manufacturing and product development. This is a highly hands-on role working across multiple custom product lines including wooden fingerboard decks, obstacles, and wheels.
This position is not a production line job—it is best suited for someone who enjoys working in a small shop environment where products are built, assembled, sanded, finished, and quality-checked with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Full training is provided, but candidates with woodworking, furniture-making, cabinet-making, or hands-on shop experience will thrive.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making physical products, takes pride in craftsmanship, and wants a more creative and engaging environment than traditional factory work.
Assist in the production, assembly, sanding, finishing, and packaging of products
Support quality control by identifying defects and maintaining product standards
Operate shop tools and equipment after training (sanders, drills, laser machines, presses, etc.)
Work with custom printed components by loading files and producing parts through equipment processes
Perform hands-on assembly using wood glue, clamps, taping, and finishing techniques
Assist in pouring and molding processes for plaster-based products (training provided)
Help transition new products from development into production by supporting process documentation and repeatability
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
Assist with inventory prep, material handling, and general shop maintenance
Communicate clearly with the production team and follow established processes
Perform other duties as assigned
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Comfortable working with hands for extended periods (standing, sanding, assembling, finishing)
Ability to follow instructions while also adapting to changing daily priorities
Dependable, communicative, and able to work independently once trained
Safety-conscious and aware of surroundings in a shop environment
Ability to lift light-to-moderate materials and work in a dusty/noisy shop environment
Small-team workshop environment (not a factory floor)
Hands-on work involving dust, noise, adhesives, and shop tools
Work includes sanding, gluing, finishing, molding, and packaging
Training provided for all specialized equipment and materials
