On Call Food Service

TES Staffing is looking for on-call/per diem food service professionals to work at one of the largest college campuses in Rochester, NY. The right individual would be comfortable floating around the kitchen; this includes prep work, line cook, and dishwashing. This position is temporary, with a scheduled end date of mid-end May 2025. Successful candidates can be invited back in August for the fall semester.
 
Pay Rate: $16.50/hr, paid weekly
Scheduling is offered week to week as well as daily, on call shifts. You decide which shifts you accept!  Full time and part time available.

What's the job? Responsibilities include:

  • Following food safety and sanitation
  • Serving and replenishing food for students
  • Scratch cooking and reading basic recipes
  • Assisting in dish room, clearing tables and lobby
  • Deep cleaning projects as needed
  • Customer service, assisting students with dietary needs
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of recent food industry experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Team player and self-motivated
  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow instructions
  • ServSafe certification not required
*Background check will be run upon hiring but does not disqualify eligible candidates.
