Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary Range: $26,300 - $32,875

Overview:
TES Staffing, in collaboration with Action for Better Community (ABC), is seeking dedicated Infant/Toddler Teachers for the Early Head Start program. As an Infant/Toddler Teacher, you will implement Head Start performance standards to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of infants and toddlers. You will create a safe and nurturing environment, build secure relationships with the children, document daily events for parents and staff, and guide each child's education and development according to their individual needs.
Qualifications/Education and Experience:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Infant/Toddler care; or an Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field with a minimum of 12 credits in ECE including coursework related to Infants/Toddlers.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and ability to maintain required records and conduct developmental screenings.
  • 1-2 years of classroom experience with infants and toddlers preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with each child's family to encourage their involvement in the program and promote parent-child bonding.
  • In-depth knowledge of child development, including curiosity, initiative, problem-solving skills, and creativity in infants and toddlers.
  • Physical capability to work in a classroom environment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License and have access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience working as part of a teaching team.
  • Ability to receive clearance from NY State Central Registry.
Clearance Requirements:
  • All employees of ABC Early Childhood Services Division must receive and maintain full clearance from the Office of Children and Family Services, allowing unsupervised contact with children.
