Small Business Insurance - Customer Service Representative - Hybrid- starting at $18/hr

Details:
  • Pay: $18.85/hr (if Spanish speaking and fully bilingual - $19.60/hr) and will increase after probationary period to at least $21/hr 
  • Schedule: In office Tuesdays and Wednesdays  
  • Hours: 8:30-5:30pm 
  • Contract to permanent hire after 16 weeks. 
Job Description
As part of our Customer Experience team your overall responsibilities will be to ensure our customers receive timely and quality service. Your responsibilities are focused on reviewing and accurately troubleshooting customers' needs and assisting in the management of customer’s insurance policies. You may have additional responsibilities including, issuing insurance certificates, processing policy changes, assisting in process improvement and supporting our “pay as you go” insurance program. On an as needed basis, you may also participate in various projects as we develop the best ways to scale for growth. To achieve your goals, you’ll collaborate daily with team members in client launch, account life and sales.
 
  • Detail oriented in everything you do, there is a lot of customer and policy information flying by you – having a keen eye here is essential
  • Experience and comfort using a variety of software tools from Excel and G Suite, to policy management and accounting systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to assist with customer needs, problem solve, answer questions, and leave a positive impression
  • Fearlessness and adaptability in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment and ability to work on multiple tasks at once
  • Personal standard for excellence: Strong process orientation and interest in finding better ways to do things
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage time effectively
  • Positive “can do” attitude and a desire to contribute to a growing, energetic work environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1+ years working in customer service
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-orientated and high level of accuracy
  • Aware of deadlines and dedication to meet them for our clients/partners
  • Must be self-motivator and self-starter
  • Good communicator in a close team environment
  • Positive “can-do” attitude and a desire to contribute to a growing, energetic work environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow
  • Willingness to transition from task to task along with taking on last-minute projects  
  • Do what is right for our clients and partners by taking action when necessary
